​​​Grace Midwives discontinuing offering hospital services, will continue to practice at Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness center.

 The midwifery team with Grace OBGYN announced today they will discontinue services at Texas Health Southwest on June 1, 2017.

The midwives will continue to serve clients and provide prenatal, postpartum, birth and well woman care at the accredited Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center (FWBC), conveniently located in the heart of Fort Worth’s hospital district.

“The FWBC midwives are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to revisit our original vision and mission of providing exceptional out of hospital birth experiences to the women we serve” said FWBC clinical director Shannon DaSilva. “The departure from Grace allows for a more intimate personalized experience we would like to provide to our birth center clients. We are also pleased to share that the outstanding hospital based Acclaim nurse-midwife group will be accepting our hospital clients. We have enjoyed working closely with the Acclaim group over the years and are confident in their ability to provide evidenced based, satisfying, and safe hospital care”

FWBC staff and midwives will be of assistance for a smooth transition of their care to the Acclaim group. Planned hospital midwifery clients will be invited to attend a joint meet and greet hosted by Acclaim on Monday May 22nd, 2017. Current Grace midwifery clients will receive information about their care options via a personal phone call by a midwife. Cleburne OBGYN Midwives leaving practice, will continue to practice at Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness center 

Fort Worth, Texas, June 11, 2015 – The midwifery team at Cleburne OBGYN announced today they will discontinue services at Texas Health Cleburne on August 28, 2015. Cleburne OBGYN will continue to operate under Dr. Steven Farzam, serving clients with Dr. Audrey Puentes. 

The midwives will continue to serve clients and provide prenatal, postpartum, birth and well woman care at the accredited Fort Worth Birthing and Wellness Center (FWBC), conveniently located in the heart of Fort Worth's hospital district.

Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center receives accreditation from American Association of Birth Centers
 
Fort Worth, Texas, June 2, 2015 –Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center announced today it is accredited by the Commission for the Accreditation of Birth Centers (CABC). The accreditation status can be verified at VerifyMyBirthCenter.org.

Fort Worth Birthing and Wellness Center is a free standing birth center, located in the heart of Fort Worth’s hospital district. It was opened in 2014 by prominent Certified Nurse Midwife Carla Morrow, and is staffed by a team of caring and experienced certified nurse-midwives. Meagan Alpha joins team at Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center

Fort Worth Birthing & Wellness Center (FWBC) owner Carla Morrow is pleased to announce that Meagan Alpha has joined the group midwifery practice at FWBC, located in the heart of the Fort Worth medical district. 

"Having previously worked in a free standing birthing center, Meagan brings experience and skills in supporting natural childbirth", Carla said. "Meagan is a great fit for our team because she is genuine, caring and has a true heart for midwifery. I know our clients will love working with Meagan."


Meagan Alpha is a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). After the birth of her first daughter, Meagan realized her calling to women's and children's healthcare, and providing compassionate and thorough care to families. Meagan earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University. While at TWU, she was discovered midwifery care. She obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Cincinnati, and earned her practicum hours with MadeWell OBGYN in Dallas. 


Meagan is a Certified Register Nurse in Maternal Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) and is a member of American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). She is passionate about women’s health and committed to promoting evidence based care and patient education. In addition to her position at FWBC, Meagan has privileges at Flower Mound Presbyterian under Dr. Bradley Axline.
